Blurb

They kept hearing, “When will we celebrate your good news?”

The perfect partner, the perfect job, mostly perfect in-laws.

Bali and Kiran had it all.
Except for that baby.

After a few years of marriage, the natural step of starting a family beckoned, but nothing was simple or natural.

Constant whispers, superstitions, and rumours cause havoc in what was a solid relationship, and Kiran struggles to face the possibility that her dream may not come true.

Pregnancies and babies all around her. Why not hers?
All she can say is, “It’s in God’s Hands.”

My Thoughts

This is book 3 of 3. I have not read the previous 2 but this can be read as s stand alone book with ease.

The author did a good job in keeping the indian culture within the plot and related them back to the characters who are trying to reconnect back to their own heritage. You get to read about their personal struggles and how they overcome some of these challenges. In doing so you get to learn more about the culture.

I really liked the characters and their development as they enter this new phase/ chapter in their lives . Although this is book 3 the author does add some meaning to the characters  from past events so you understand them better from the previous books as they have changed.

You go on this emotional journey with Kiran and Bali. I found myself getting a bit frustrated with Bali as you want him to show more empathy to Kiran and her worries. But as the plot develops Bali also changes and I really liked this aspect. The relationship is tested and they work through it, it is an emotional ride. It was nice to read Kiran confiding in Jas as she did not want to with her bestfriend / sister-in law who is now pregnant as you being to worry about Kirans emotional wellbeing dealing with so much pressure.

We also meet different family member such as Balis brother Sunny, Kirans brother Argus and his wife and Kiran's bestfriend Aashi.

It was interesting to read to about families and the different level of thinking and stance in different generations. It was a good conversation starter. Daddi Ji;s character highlighted this as traditionally he was the elder of the family but somehow managed to navigate a wonderful way to stay a-tuned to the children. It was comforting to read the vibrancy of the family and friends overall as whole. It was rich with information and stores.

I will definitely be reading the previous 2 book s as I loved this one! A well written story that was super enjoyable to read!
