Review
Gillian McAllister is one my fave authors so I was super excited on the new release and also being part of the tour!
This psychological thriller pushed the elements of family dynamics and the lengths some will go to protect each other. Emotions between siblings start to take over and the strong structure started to disintegrate. We get to meet the 3 Plant siblings; Frannie, Cathy and Joe. They are living in an idyllic and harmonious lifestyle in their cottages and a very successful veterinary practice. They take a holiday to Verona where things start to go wrong , past revelations come forward and a new incident changes there paths forever.
One night Frannie rings her siblings in panic, there has been an accident and she needs help. What should they do. As the story unfolds, police are now questioning the disappearance of a person. What have the Plant siblings done?
Each of the siblings tell their version giving a complex layer to the story . Also as the story unfolds location change from Verona to the UK.
I enjoyed who the characters were portrayed and pushed to the limits on the snow ball affect a bad decisions can lead to. The one thing I loved about The Night was the tension remained from start to finish and when you think you might even have an inkling your led down another path. I was constantly guessing and presuming until I got the full picture.
