My Thoughts
The first chapter alone was intense as we learn about an attack but we don't learn who the victim or perpetrator is but it gets you on the edge of the seat and hooked.
Daisy always dreamed big and wanted to become a big journalist but life was sidelined and she now works for a magazine. aInsomnia has crippled her life but personally with husband Hayden and their children and professionally so at this point will try anything to help her sleep and feel better. SO she is offered an opportunity for an unbiased review of a spa clinic and is excited for going to the spa for dual agenda that it could personally benefit her and her insomnia and get a piece written for the magazine.
Once at the spa she has conflicting feelings about handing over her equipment because then she really is cutting herself off from the rest of the world but Amity is so reassuring that she feels safe to do so.
There was always an underlying current of tension and eeriness throughout the book for me. Like you know something significant is going to happen but you don't know when. Once she starts to orientate herself to her environment everything seems off but you have to question is this actually happening and in real time or is there mis-construction due to Daisy being exhausted and so overtired.
The POV was from both Daisy and Amity in alternating chapters. And as we delve further into the book we realise that both have connections and their stories eventually merge together for the final few chapters.
I was absorbed into the storyline, and it grabbed my attention from page one.
Thank you so much for such a fabulous review and for supporting the tour today x
