My Thoughts

If you are looking for an intense crime novel then this is the one!

One aspect I really enjoyed was the POV from Wisting but also his daughter Line who actually is a Journalist. The father and daughter duo provide us with interesting details going through the motions of the investigations. As a reader we were able to read through the details and journey from the police and journalist and the barriers that can come up. 

This book was part of a series, but I am glad the author provided some backstory details with some of the characters who made a return as this provided some insight to them. As this was the only book I had read it was useful to know some information about the characters that may have been provided in the previous books. 

I have to say I do enjoy when professionals write novels because you can get the greater sense in books as they can delve further in characters and descriptions given their experiences. The author was a police inspector and that does shine through.
