Blurb

Ellie is feeling alone and unhappy in her marriage. Her husband no longer shows any interest in her and is constantly travelling for work. So, when Saul, a handsome stranger, offers her everything she’s been missing, what starts as a harmless flirtation quickly grows into something deeper.

Before it can go too far, however, Ellie comes to her senses and ends the burgeoning relationship. It’s over – or is it?

A series of unexplained and sometimes threatening events soon lead Ellie to believe that maybe Saul isn’t as out of her life as she’d thought.

My Thoughts

A Brilliant and engaging read, I needed to keep on reading it and finished it quickly.

We follow Ellie on this journey where she is feeling totally invisible in her marriage, this leads to her leaning on alcohol. Ellies vulnerabilities lead her to  making poor decisions. Her Husband Alex is going through his challenges, after his accident he had to change careers which was devastating but he now also has to deal with the physical and emotional impact of his new job. However he does appear to have more glamorous job as Ellie perceives.

Then she meets Saul also married, who she meets at a network meeting and soon finds herself spending more time with him and making an effort with her appearance. You want to shout at Ellie as you can sense something is going to go terribly wrong but thank fully she does come to her sense. But at what cost. As much as Ellie is trying to be strong and change what is happening. Saul is more of a determined character and he does not want to let go of Ellie. However the more we get to know Saul the more we see a side we don't want to.

You can start to guess that this is already a disaster waiting to happen as feelings from friends has started to shift and relationship boundaries are starting to become blurred.

Plenty of twists and the book picks up pretty fast and intensifies.

Well worth a read.
