Blurb
Three paramedics are drawn into the mystery of a bizarre spree unfolding in a quiet island town. Devastated by the loss of his son, Liam Price, must hold it together whilst leading his team against a killer who finds new and twisted ways to prevent them for saving the lives of their victims. But one serious mistake puts them and everyone they love in grave danger.
As the island starts to slip into hysteria, our villain goes to gruesome lengths to keep their identity a secret. Able to hide in plain sight, the killer is out for revenge as they close in on their prey. Can they escape the wrath of the Boatmore Butcher?
My Thoughts
The blurb enticed me into this too. Sounds perfect for a spooky/slasher read.
We get to meet the three paramedics; Liam, Martin and Ben also hearing from other residents of the island. We get to know them and their families and friends which also adds to the plot too. All the characters are well written and you even guess the slasher. There are lots of twists that keep you going till the end. You try not to get too attached to the characters as lots of questions creep up.
The chapters weave between the past and present giving us bits of information each time. Descriptive writing so I felt it reads really well. Also Plenty of blood and gore so not for the faint hearted thats for sure!!! The chapters have their own title name and further separated into different parts so you can keep track of the story and characters a bit better.
The ending was brilliant for the plot. The cover is also perfect and fitting to the story too.
Apparently a debut for the author and an excellent read. Can't wait to read what is next!
Excellent review - thank you for your support on the tour x
