Blurb

Things can't get much worse for detective Jane Tennison.

Unceremoniously kicked off the adrenaline-fuelled Flying Squad, she's been relegated to Gerald Road, a small and sleepy police station in the heart of London's affluent Knightsbridge.

With only petty crime to sink her teeth into, Tennison can feel her career slowly flatlining. That is until the discovery of the most brutal murder Jane has ever Charlie Foxley has been found viciously beaten to death, his body dismembered and disembowelled.

As a big-time showbiz agent, Foxley had a lot of powerful friends - but even more enemies. And alongside her old friend DS Spencer Gibbs, Tennison must journey into the salacious world of show business to find the killer, before they strike again . . .

In Lynda La Plante's most gripping thriller yet , Tennison discovers that the brightest lights hide the darkest secrets - and the killer doesn't always hide in the shadows . . .

My Thoughts

Book 6 in the series as we continue this journey with Jane Tennison

Jane once again sees a move in her career from Flying Squad to Knightsbridge this time due to the events from the last book.
Althoght it doesnt start off like for Jane, her new base initally strarts off with slow and petty crime and paperwork which hasnt been use to for a while. That is until a murder takes place. Which can only mean another  fuel filled crime to solve!!

Jane comes with flaws and this is a nice character development. She does not come across arrogant even though she has done well in her career. But also the author allows for Jane to make some quick and rash decisions. But then allows her to use her intelligence to problem solve and work through it.

One thing I really appreciate and like is that the author takes the time, to help the reader understand the police procedure and the technical terms and actions.

Another amazing book. Let's see what book 7 has for us!
