Blurb

Is her child really missing? Or did he never exist at all?

With cracks beginning to show in her marriage, Karina thinks a short break to a luxury villa in Turkey with her husband, Ronan, and their four-year-old son, Jacob, is just what the family needs.

It’ll be a chance to relax, enjoy some good food, and more importantly to reconnect with the people she loves the most.

But on their first morning, Karina is startled to discover she’s slept in late and not been woken by Jacob.

He’s an early riser who always comes into their bed pestering them to make him breakfast.
So where is he? A needle of fear spikes through Karina’s veins.

She rushes to his room, but his bed is empty and he’s nowhere to be found in the villa.
But when she wakes Ronan, frantic with worry, and tells him their son is missing, he stares at her blankly.

He says he has no idea what she’s talking about and that they don’t have any children.
He’s certainly never heard of a boy called Jacob…

My Thoughts

Well the blurb had me hooked in for sure! and the book did not leave me disappointed. The blurb described a lot detail so `I wont go through that.

What I liked was that it was intense and fast paced from the get go. I really read this book fast as curiosity got the better of me.

The characters were well done with some flaws but that evened out in the book as the plot developed.  What I also liked is that the characters we meet have something to do with overall plot. Some more likable than others.

There were a few sub plots which came together in the end so bear with and remember them as they provide a bit of insight.  We also read a few twists that at first read are all very slight but then provide more detail. What I liked is twists and turns didn't go on too long as they sometimes so, they gave enough information and ended that point before new information appeared.

We go on an intense Journey with Karina that spans over 10 years. The emotional journey that she has to endure whilst making told she has imagined a huge part of her life, to her attempt to rebuild her life and relationships to an email that unravels her new make believe. Karina certainly goes through alot!

Overall a really good read which I throughly enjoyed.
