To The River- Blog Tour
Shortly after, she escapes custody and disappears.
Recently made redundant from marriage, motherhood and her career, journalist Rachel Weidermann has long suspected Sabine made her way back to the river — now, twelve years after the ‘Caravan Murders’, she has the time and the tenacity to corner a fugitive and land the story of the year.
My Thoughts
This is my first read from the author which I really enjoyed.
The plot were very well done. We go back and forth from past to present with enough information to move from chapter to chapter without being overloaded. We get details threaded throughout that add to the picture and to the plot which starts to come together.
The characters were interesting and each one provided some detail and relevance to where the story was heading. We get to meet several people around Sabine including her family and the further we learn about them the more information is revealed.
Sabine and Rachel are opposite characters but both determined to find out the truth but they have to trust each other which encapsulates their relationship and how they move forward. When they do uncover who the murders are this sets off a series of events that put them both at danger and they must find a way to keep save and reveal the truth.
This book had plenty of action and twisty plots which I liked so definitely worth a read.
