Blurb

Late at night . . .

Abi and Ben are driving home down foggy country roads, arguing about having had to cut short their weekend away when they take a wrong turn. Abi’s driving, but her eyes leave the road for a moment as she says something to Ben – just as he gasps. A man is in front of the car, waving a torch. Abi swerves to avoid him.

You see a family stranded . . .

Ben tells her they should stop and go back, but Abi refuses. It’s dark, the roads are isolated and they don’t know this stranger. But, as Abi continues on, they see a broken-down car. Every instinct is still telling Abi to drive by, but then she notices the woman holding a car seat with a baby in it.

Would you stop?

For a moment, Abi hesitates, but they can’t leave a mother and baby on the side of the road. Agreeing to give the family a lift, they set off again. But now these strangers are inside their car and it might be the worst mistake they have ever made ...

My Thoughts

This book was amazing from start to finish. The blurb does enough to entice you in that you don't want to put it down!!

One thing I really liked whilst reading the book that it raised soo many questions which were all answered but it made you really think ahead as you don't get too many answers too quick.  You get so many cliff hangers at the end of the chapters that makes you continue reading it.

We do learn more about  Paul, Samantha and Baby Isla and how they end up on the side of the road before Abi and Ben pick them up. And the more we learn about them the more the unsettling and uneasy feeling starts to creep in. The book does flip from past to present as we learn more about the characters.

There is a-lot of suspense and tension from the get go. The character development was well done as you gained the right amount of information about them and this tied in nicely with dual timeline as all the information is relevant to the plot.

It has hard not to go into any details without giving away important parts of the plot! but it is full of twists, so I would recommend you pick this book up!!! My first read from the author but I am going to look a the previous books, any recommendations please let me know.
