My Thoughts 

This is book 2 in the Daniel Kendrick series. I have already reviewed book 1 so go and have a read  of that if you wish :) 

Dare I say it but I think I prefer book 2 to 1 and I feel that maybe due to the author doing a fab job in book 1 and really developing the characters and stories, book 2 continues with the aftermath of events. 

We get to hear more from Faye this time. However Faye's mental health declines vasty which goes into deep despair and ends up getting dark and complex very quickly. Daniel is now out of prison and the pair are trying to amend their relationship which can seem catastrophic at times. But not only is their challenging to repairing and rebuilding their family, they are now up against another chilling crime/ murder. It feels like Daniel is facing one event after another 

There is an awful lot going on this time around with introduction with some new characters and other side characters which at times you do have to take a pause to catchup as you can get a bit lost. But on the flip side it become interesting to read as it ramped up and kept me hooked. 

The author did another fantastic job on the book and I am super excited about book 3!
