Kate thought she knew her neighbours. But they’ve been keeping secrets…

Kate’s quiet evening at home is shattered when a car crashes into a neighbor’s fence. The police and emergency services are quickly on the scene.

Kate saw the crash. The neighbors saw it too. So why is everyone saying it never happened? And how is it possible that the neighbor’s fence doesn’t have a scratch?

Is Kate going crazy or is everyone lying?

Strange things start happening in Kate’s life. A man follows her home after work. An intruder tries to break into her house in the middle of the night.

Kate is convinced these events are connected to the crash. Someone wants to silence her. But why? Who was in that car on Saturday night?

And what is the deadly secret that everyone is trying to hide?

My Thoughts

An enjoyable psychological thriller to read.

The books starts off terrifying and creepy and ends in a similar manner! Perfect for spooky season!

You start to feel for Kate as she clearly goes through this experience and those whom she loves around her tell her a difference tale. This would affect anyones mental health. As Kate is also battling an addiction furthermore she has to decipher if she really did make it up, or are those around her convincing her otherwise.

Interesting this book is sectioned off into 5 parts: Kate, Jimmy, Haley, Helen and The Escape. This is by no means a straightforward book or plot and packs so much in I was actually shocked. Their is uncertainty and confusion and you really go through it with Kate but each chapter once exposed links together perfectly without becoming overwhelming and you never get lost in the plot. This is a well written book that touches on many topics and keeps it tidy to read.

Not one to miss with the loads of twists and turns with some unexpected information, this book kept me entertained from start to finish.
