Blurb

It's never too late to find where you belong...

Thea knew the holiday house her late husband Marco bought in Tuscany wasn't pristine. But when she relocates to Italy for the summer with her children, she's shocked by how much work
Casa Luna needs. And she only has six weeks to fix it up ready to sell! Her only option is to ask the tight-knit Italian community for help.

In return, Thea and her children become involved in the community kitchen, working alongside handsome chef Giovanni and three very competitive nonnas. Gradually, Thea begins to open up to the people around her for the first time in a long while. But just as she's beginning to wonder whether this small Tuscan town could become a new place to call home, a surprise visitor turns everything on its head . . .

My Thoughts

Reading the blurb made me invested and I am happy I go the opportunity to read it.

Thea's life changes drastically when her husband Marco dies and now she has to navigate this part of her life and her children Aimee and Luca on her own. A few years ago Marco brought a family holiday home in Italy and to sell the property, Thea took the children to visit however they did not anticipate how poorly kept it had been.

What was really interesting and homely to read was food was integral to the families and it brought comfort and bonded people together.

The three nonna's were funny to read they had such character and punch to them. It was nice to read around difference generations and how they would manage situations and came together as a community.

It was nice to read how Marcos memory was being kept during the read, which must have been comforting for the family.

With a 6 week deadline to sort the property out new friends, new love and a new community brings forward goodness that eases some of the grief.

This dual ended story of being heartbreaking and heart warming was wonderful to read. I would recommend as your summer read of the year.
