My Thoughts
Narrated from three POV's; Eve, Karen and Peter it turned into an interesting and addictive thriller. In turn we really get into the mind of these 3 individuals and start to unravel their motives and actions.
Karen converses to Eve about how her life is pretty messy and chaotic at the moment. She feels like she is being pulled in so many directions and doesn't know what to do anymore as she feels mentally and physically drained. Peter had an affair and since then although they have both decided to work through it, there is something still missing and Karen hasn't come to terms with it completely. But has Peter changed his way for his wife or family or doesThey have two children together, Oscar and Noah and Karen has absorbed her 'me time' in to her family to keep the unit together. But it is all so exhausting so Eve suggests that Karen takes some time out and relax. Even going as far as recommending a place but is Eve being a good friend or does she have an another motive.
Once Karen arrives at the holiday home she enjoys her activities and time out and decides to cut the time short and head back home to her husband and children. As much as she enjoys being back home she enjoys the break and the family decide to go back twice, once just Peter and Karen and the final time with their boys. As the host on the final visit asks Karen for a formal review for a webpage, soon Karen realises something far more sinister is going on when she sees her pictures of herself and her family from a far point and the guest book has some comments she wasn't expecting. This leads to the final few chapters which are explosive!
We also learn about Leanne, Sarah and Natasha who elevate intensity of the plot. The Short chapters keep the story moving and it was a quick read.
