My Thoughts

I really enjoyed this book, it was a slow burner and we find out some parts early on but it builds up as you delve further in to the chapters. 

POV is told from Laila and Em. there are other people who central to the story too that add to layers to the book and relationship dynamics in the alternate chapters. 

Laila and James take a trip away to try and rekindle their relationship and James has used some of the money they have saved for treatment. One they arrive it appears the cracks in the relationship run a lot deeper and added with the strain of failed IVF. 

Laila starts to people watch on a family of 4, mum, dad and 2 brothers. However unfortunate events happen and one the boys is dead. Laila wants to come forward with the information but hesitant on how this could impact her. But there is more suspicions with the people around them. 

Lots of twists and how is the guilty person in question. It was engrossing to read and challenged my thought on who I thought it was. 

I would really recommend!
