CAN YOU SOLVE THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY?

Crack the utterly brilliant, impossibly brilliant No.1 international bestselling murder mystery that's taking the world by storm!

Private investigator Julia Stark receives an unannounced visit at the office. The man at the door is one of the owners of a successful family business. The day before, he was present at a board meeting and dinner at his estate in the northwestern part of Sweden. The following morning, he finds a photograph in his phone of a bloody man, tied up with a bag over his head.

Due to alcohol-related amnesia, the man has no idea where the picture comes from and wants to hire Stark Detective Agency to clear his name before the police get involved. Julia asks her ex-husband Sidney Mendelson to take time off from the City Police and assist her in the investigation. There is still a glimmer of hope left in Julia that this might be her chance to win him back.

Welcomed as guests at the opulent estate, Julia and Sidney begin to search for the truth while dining and socializing with each of the family members that could theoretically be involved in the murder.

She's solved every mystery.
But none like this . . .

My Thoughts

The blurb is detailed into setting the premise of the book but there is more to come.

An interesting plot that you really have to think about and uncover some truths and lies. The evidence starts to be collected with modern day equipment such as AI which I found interesting as I have not read many books delve into this.

Julia was an interesting character as you dont figure her out straight away and learn about her through a parallel storyline. I liked it done this way and things start to slot in easily.  I really hope she gets her love someday as we do not get to really find out what happened between her and Sid and will they ever re-kindle their relationship. But he does still remain by her side to help her when needed.

I liked the character buildup which was fed through out the plot. The family is loud, intense and appearing argumentative and you can't seem to understand them or they seemingly do not want that to happen. However this was good for the plot as this is where the twists came in.

Julia investigations has to take a different turn as the family are not willing to cooperate, which is not an easy job so it keeps you guessing.

I really enjoyed it!
