A reality TV crew descends on Leighford High . . . and Head of Sixth Form Peter Maxwell braces for disaster — but not murder.
The cameras pry into every corner of the school, exposing secrets better left buried. But when a member of the TV crew is found stabbed to death in the headteacher’s office, it’s clear the real drama has only just begun.
Then a second crew member is found sprawled in Maxwell’s office. Murdered with the same knife.
As Maxwell unravels the truth he finds himself facing a chilling reality: the murderer is still watching, still waiting, and ready to kill again.
My Thoughts
I absolutely loved this book!. Simple and easy read but packed with lots of twists. This is part of a series but this was my first read and it was fine to read stand alone.
The character recognition and development was well done. Again as it was a series we get enough information about the returning characters that you know them enough for this plot without being too lost.
Each characters unique personality shone through and it made it more relevant to what the story was telling. Mr Maxwell is the teacher the story follows and I liked his character, it had a mixture of quick wit, intelligence and sharp personality but ultimately him handling situations he was not prepared for.
I really liked the descriptive writing style within the book, as you got a good feel of what was happening and created a good atmosphere. There was some good humour in the book too , so felt it was well rounded.
Also how good is the cover!
I would recommend and now I am invested to look more in to the previous 21 books in this series to see what it offers :)
