Blurb

She thinks she knows me. It’s all a lie. She has no idea what the truth really is . . .
I let my fans think they know every detail of my life.

My Instagram page is carefully curated for my 800,000 followers: my latest manicure, behind the scenes content from my yoga studio and gifted collabs from the hottest brands. It all looks so glamorous.

But they don’t see the other side — the vicious messages and anonymous threats.
They only see what I want them to see.
I keep most people at a distance.

Until I meet our new cleaner at the yoga studio. She’s only eighteen and she’s just moved to the city. She has nowhere to go. I feel bad for her. I know what it’s like to be alone. So I let her stay with me.

I thought it was a chance meeting. I had no idea it wasn’t . . .
And now she wants to know everything about me. She wants to get closer to me.
She wants this life. My life.

My Thoughts

The blurb enticed me in and I really enjoyed the book!

The dual timeline and multiple POV with 2 main characters were needed for this plot and for me was a really good point. We got insight from the characters and how they are thinking and why the consider doing their actions. We get some flashbacks too which helped trying to figure out what was going or is happening.

We meet Frankie and Bee who are both very different and lead different lives.
Both have secrets and personalities are different which made you question their living arrangements. The plot touches on may issues such as dysfunctional families, neglectful parents, relationships, addiction and the impact of social media (both good and bad).

The chapters are short but filled with lots of information. And you can see how Frankie and Bee interact. The epilogue was good and always appreciate when authors add one in as I feel it rounds off the plot well.

“I’m the one in the stormy sea and I’m the one that can’t swim.”

A fab thriller!
