Blurb

I almost didn’t come.

Even with the free champagne, the five-star resort, the promise of closure. Even
though it’s fifteen years since we all finished high school.

But now I’m here. Snowed in.

And someone’s already dead.

It should’ve been a reunion. Laughter. Memories. Old friends — even if they never
really saw me. But our old prom dates are waiting tables. Our teachers are lurking in
corridors. And one by one, the people I once called friends are acting like we’re back
in school. There are eight of us.

There were eight of us then.

But one vanished after prom.

And someone knows what really happened that night. They invited us here for a reason.

And they’re not going to let us leave.

My Thoughts

This was an amazing read!!!

The main POV if from Desiree who as part of the Westgate Eight crew, seemingly the cool kids of the years, most wanted to be part of the group due to the popularity, that us until the unthinkable happens. One person has died and another vanishes.

We also get a POV from Lenora who were not always close and then very quickly become more friends then enemies. Both strong characters and had lots to share from their past and present.

The remaining members of the group meet yearly at a dashing resort to almost console each other and catch up. Interestingly the resort is ran by another old pupil from their school. This year is different as the meet up will mark 15 years since the incident.

I enjoyed the short chapters as there are a few characters I found short chapters made it easy to read and keep track of the plot.

There is a big tangled web that has been weaved within this group and as it breaks it send the group and some individual more that others into a spiral as they loose control of the situation.

A twisty read, with different POV over different timelines was really good to read. I would recommend.
