Lies Between Friends- Blog Tour
This was an intense and gripping read.
Nick was such a loathsome character — manipulative, cruel, and impossible to like. From the very beginning, you develop a strong dislike for his behavior toward Gail. Gail, on the other hand, was more complex. I often felt empathy for her — trapped in an abusive relationship she couldn’t easily leave for the sake of her children — yet she also seemed tied to the life she had built and couldn’t bring herself to walk away from it.
Thankfully, Gail has support from her friend Daisy, especially as things start to unravel. But when Daisy’s brother, who also happens to be friends with Nick, becomes involved, the situation grows even more complicated. As Nick’s true nature is revealed, Gail begins to question everything she’s worked so hard to maintain.
The story features a range of characters, each adding their own layer to the tension — some sympathetic, others questionable. It explores how, under pressure, people’s actions and decisions can spiral in unexpected ways.
I really liked the short, snappy chapters — they kept the pacing tight and made it easy to stay engaged. Just when you think you’ve figured out where it’s heading, another twist throws you off balance.
Overall, this was an intense psychological thriller full of tension, secrets, and unexpected turns. I really enjoyed it and will definitely be checking out more of this author’s work.
